Part 3 will bring to a conclusion, “Learning The Basics Of RSS.” So let’s get you started.

How do I start using RSS?

There are two things needed to get started, an RSS feed and an RSS aggregator or reader. The RSS feed comes from an RSS-supported website. There are also websites that provide a list of RSS feeds of different websites. An RSS aggregator is used to read the RSS feed from the source website. It scans and collects data on latest RSS feeds from the worldwide web.

An aggregator comes in two forms: a downloadable program also known as desktop aggregator and an online or web-based aggregator. Downloadable aggregators may require payment before they can be acquired, while internet-based aggregators are usually free of charge. All you need to do is to register an account then you are ready to use their services. Both versions allow you to customize or choose which RSS feeds to enter. Paid aggregators are usually chosen by more experienced users and they usually allow more freedom in customizing feeds.

So to get you started:

1. Choose an RSS aggregator to use. For beginners, web-based aggregators are recommended since they are usually user-friendly

2. Scan the homepage of your target website for the RSS or XML button. It contains the RSS code you need to enter in the aggregator. Copy this code. Syndic8 provides a directory of websites that support RSS.

3. Paste the code (which contains the URL of the website) in your aggregator. There is a space provided for pasting the code.

After you have done these three easy steps, you can start reading the RSS feeds coming from the website. New postings appear as they are published real time at the source website.

RSS and Internet Marketing

The original idea of RSS came from Netscape, where their intention was to provide a means for users to customize their personal homepage to contain links to websites that interest them, similar to bookmarking websites.

The application of RSS to internet marketing was an unforeseen development to RSS technology developers. Since users are given the freedom to add RSS feeds to their aggregators, those who are interested in particular products and services available in the internet can now be notified real time. Marketing becomes more specific to interested people and not a hit-and-miss operation.

Those who intend to use RSS for marketing their products and services should consider linking up with different providers from various areas such as, email account providers, social networking websites, news and television network websites, and of course, blogs.

Clearly, RSS is an innovation in information management in the worldwide web as well as online marketing. We can expect improvements in RSS technology as its popularity increases among users and website owners alike.

The disadvantages of RSS use are brought about by its being a new technology and some user-preference concerns.

Some users prefer receiving email updates over an RSS feed.

Graphics and photos do not appear in all RSS feeds. For conciseness and ease of publication, RSS feeds do not display the photos from the original site in announcing the update except for some web-based aggregators

The identity of the source website can be confusing. Since RSS feeds do not display the actual URL or name of the website, it can sometimes get confusing on what feed a user is actually reading.

Publishers cannot determine how many users are subscribed to their feed and the frequency of their visits. Moreover, they would not know the reasons why users unsubscribe which could be important in improving their advertising.

RSS feeds create higher traffic and demands on the server. Most readers still prefer the whole update over a brief summary of the entry, thus they still access the site.

Since it is a new technology, some sites may not support RSS.

As an internet marketing newbie, when the names of the so called gurus are thrown your way, they really don’t mean a thing. You really don’t know at that point in time whether they are really established and successful or just saying so. And of course, you hear some names more than others. Which by the way, is NO indication of their success but rather a guage on the amount of promotion being done for that particular person.

After a while, you’ll start to learn the names and soon be able to match a name with a face and even the area of expertise. If you’re like me, you’ll start to sign up for information from all over the internet and find yourself overwhelmed with a ton of information. Some useful and most garbage. It is through this process, that the “real” gurus will outshine the “posers” and “wanna be” which should then signficantly reduce the number of lists you signed up with to a managable number.

By visiting their websites, reading their content, and listening to them speak (watch for free telesiminars, webinars, etc) you will be better able to determine if what they have to offer fits your needs. Not all gurus are going to be suitable for what you want to accomplish online and hopefully you will figure this out with out spending a ton of money. What took me a little while (and some money) to realize is that everyone is selling something and being an affiliate or a JV partner is not beyond the scope of a guru. In fact, they are often the go to guys/gals because they have “a list” of a decent size and the people on that list already trust and like them so are more prone to take their recommendations and buy from them.

It is those that provide me with quality content and not constantly trying to sell me something that I tend to faithfully follow. I don’t mind a few sales pitches here and there, but don’t make every email about you and your products. Oh yeah, another big selling point for me is when your emails get answered by the person themselves. Support is ok, at least your question is getting answered. But when you know you’re really talking to the person whose product your interested in, it’s just that much sweeter!

What is RSS?

You probably have seen this three-letter acronym in the course of your internet surfing. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. Syndicating means, republishing an article that comes from another source such as a website.

An RSS is a means of publicizing updates about websites. It may or may not include a summary and photos of the latest posting. But those that provide summaries (thus Rich Site Summary) allow users to skim through the article so that they could decide later on if they want to access the website source. The RSS feed usually contains the title of the update originating from the website and is also usually the link to the website source.

What are the benefits of RSS?

RSS gives benefits to both readers (users) and web publishers.

~It gives you the latest updates.

Whether it is about the weather, new music, software upgrades, local news, or a new posting from a rarely updated sites, learn about the latest happenings as soon as it comes out.

~It saves on surfing time.

Since an RSS feed provides a summary of the related article, it saves the user’s time by helping s/he decide on which items to prioritize when reading or browsing the net.

~It gives the power of subscription to the user.

Users are given a free-hand on which websites to subscribe to in their RSS aggregators, which they can change at any time they decide differently.

~It lessens the clutter in your inbox.

Although your email address will be required to enjoy the services of online RSS aggregators, RSS does not use your email address to send the updates.

~It is spam free.

Unlike email subscriptions, RSS does not make use of your email address to send updates thus your privacy is kept safe from spam mails.

~Unsubscribing is hassle-free.

Unlike email subscriptions where the user is asked questions on why s/he is unsubscribing and then the user would be asked to confirm unsubscribing, all you have to do is to delete the RSS feed from your aggregator.

~It can be used as an advertising or marketing tool.

Users who subscribe or syndicate product websites receive the latest news on products and services without the website sending spam mail. This is advantageous to both the web user and the website owner since advertising becomes targeted; those who are actually interested in their products are kept posted.

The doors to My Internet Business have been open for just over 2 weeks and all I can say is that it has totally exceeded my expectations. My head is still spinning with all that this business has to offer and my heart is still dancing with enthusiasm. While I expect the head spinning to calm down the more familiar I get with all that is available to me, I predict I’ll be dizzy for a long time before this is all over.

After all, this is only the first phase of a scheduled “6″ yes I said, “SIX” planned phases. I can’t even begin to imagine what Darren Gaudry and his Team will come up with for the other phases of this business.

I realize it is way too early in the game, but does anyone care to take a guess at what they think the next phase may bring to the table? Go ahead let’s hear what you think – Just leave your guess in the comment section below.

As far as my dancing heart – the beat goes on and the music never stops. And heck, who needs music to dance anyway!

As a woman who is guided by morals and values based on trust, honesty, and being true to myself, My Internet Business has made it real easy for me. You see, I don’t need to do any real hard selling as the business opportunity will sell itself. The compensation plan allows me to put cash in my pocket on my very first sale and will continue to pay me a residual income. There is a State of the Art Multimedia Training Center and a products area so large that they utilize a search engine and continue to add products regularly.

My Internet Business didn’t hold anything back when they built this business. They’ve leveled the playing field so that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed online. The features are so amazing and so abundant that I’m sure it sounds like a bunch of hype and B.S.

If you have any doubts, I’ll put my mouse where my mouth is and encourage you to take the tour and experience it for yourself. Take your time, read the content, click all the links and really look at what this business has to offer. Then if you have any questions click the “blue” button to request a call back. Or if you’re like me and know a good thing when you see it and ready to move forward, click on the “green” button to join now!

Don’t forget to take a guess at what you think Darren and his Team will bring to the business in the next phase by leaving a comment below.

If you are involved in Online Marketing at all, you’ve probably heard about product launches and all the buzz that they can create. Product launches can take on a life of their own and bring in huge amounts of money not only for the owner, but also for the JV (joint venture) partners. Just the other day, “Jeff Walker” had a product launch for his newest version of PLF 2.0 (product launch formula) and I can’t tell you how many more additional emails with bonus offers, sales copy to buy the product, and updates to his product launch by video messages I received. It seemed that just about everyone who has some kind of pull on the internet, was talking about his product launch and trying to get in on a little (I’m sure it was more than just a little) extra income.

So what’s my point here? Properly carried out product launches are set up in such a way that people are ready and waiting to purchase the product before it’s even available. Yes, you read that right – ready and waiting to make a purchase! Now, being a big name on the internet doesn’t hurt, but getting in at the right time with the right product can easily make you that next big name known on the internet.

Darren Gaudry, the founder of the already successful income generating Passport to Wealth, has put together another incredible money making business opportunity that I believe will take the internet by storm. The information that has been released on “MyInternetBusiness” is limited and Darren and his Team have opted to keep most of the details under wrap until the official launch on April 1, 2008.

While the details that have been released about “MyInternetBusiness” are limited, it’s more than enough information to make you realize that this is going to be BIG and an opportunity you don’t want to miss out on. Read what we do know and you tell me . . .

No Qualification Period – You will get paid from your very FIRST sale.

Residual Income- Getting continually paid on the efforts of your downline.

Exclusive products – We’re not sure exactly what they will be but, having some exclusive products is definitely unique to these businesses.

“Name Branding” Ability – We have been told that you will be able to customize a portion of your websites to brand yourself. This is a very powerful feature.

Additional Marketing availability – You will be able to market other programs or businesses you may be involved with.

Professional Call Center – Your prospects will be able to get questions answered from PBA’s, or Professional Business Associates. This provides a more Hands off approach and saves the MyInternetBusiness owner time! It’s great to make money and have free time.

We don’t know the price point yet for this new and exciting business opportunity, but have been instructed by Darren Gaudry that it will be substantial. (We’ll have to wait until the launch date).

Launching April 1st, 2008

The Online Marketing business is often promoted as a get rich quick scheme, a way to make fast money with little or no work, and the answer to any problem having to do with achieving success, greater finances, more freedom, and living a better lifestyle. Prepare yourself so that you’re not their next scam victim. Learn what to look for in a “legitimate online business.”

There are many legitimate online marketing businesses that can be quite profitable. Unfortunately, there are probably just as many, if not more, scams and liars out there that just want to take your money and couldn’t care less about your success. What I have found to be a huge difference in my success and other people’s failure, is the simple but very important fact, that I joined the Turn-Key Marketing Group, a Team that works together to attain the same definite purpose – SUCCESS.

Don’t believe everything you hear or read and don’t buy into every next big opportunity or easy way out. If it sounds too good to be true, proceed with caution. My best advice for anyone starting out online is to do your due diligence. Research all aspects of the business you are interested in. Get on conference calls, call the person (possible sponsor) who introduced you to the product or service, ask questions, test his/her availability, see if they return calls and/or emails. Don’t settle for anything less than that what you deserve.

Don’t underestimate or overlook support and training, it is essential if you want to succeed in the business of online marketing. As far as I am aware, no man has ever attained success all on his own.

The Turn-Key Marketing Group fulfills these qualifications and then some. I receive up to date training in all areas of network marketing and am privy to advanced marketing techniques that my sponsor learns as he continues his own personal quest to further his knowledge in the online marketing arena.

What really appealed to me about the Turn Key Marketing Group was the fact that they do not market on hype nor pressure you into a sale. They are a group of people lead by Top Earners in the field who are ready, willing, and able to help you achieve the “success” you desire. Equally impressive, is the fact that the Turn Key Marketing Group is not just about one individual’s success. It is a Team founded on truth and integrity and was formed in response to people wanting more.

More training, more support, more success!

Who you work with is more important than what you work with.
